Joint Styles
Rabbet Joint
A rabbet joint is defined as an "L" shaped joint cut across the side or end of a piece of wood. Authentic Wood recommends this type of joint when combining two surfaces that will have dissimilar movement. This type of joint will minimize the visual effect of the two surfaces movement.
T-Bolt Hardware Authentic Wood joints are secured with 'T-Bolt’ hardware installed on the underside of the countertop. This provides the tightest seam for the above-mentioned joints.
